Semua pun perantau

Walaupun xde la perantau sangat kekdahnya tempat tinggal sekarang, tapi kalau terlintas nak makan makanan yang mustahil nak jumpa kat sini, nak tak nak, kena la masak sendiri kan.

Contoh macam nasi air ni.



Kadang2 ade benda yang boleh masak based on recall apa rasa makanan tu or recall cara orang masak. Tapi biasanya ade part yg x bape sure kan. So kena la Google or youtube kn resepi.

Kata carian yang selalu gune plak mesti resepi (nama makanan) perantau. Hehe

Logiknya ade kata perantau tu sebab biasanya resepi yang ade kata kunci perantau ni, for sure akan guna bahan2 yang mudah nak cari dan guna ape yang ada je. Ala2 cooking survival skills gitu.

Dan biasanya mmg akan jumpe resepi2 perantau ni. Bagus org2 yg selalu share resepi ni. Macam2 benda boleh masak.

Nasi air ni plak dapat resepi dr blog kak azie. Sedap! Cuma part sambal mangga x jadi,sbb derhaka resepi. Tah cmane dalam memori,sambal ni kena pakai kelapa dessicated coconut tu n ikan bakar. Dah la sebab xde ikan yang sesuai,dipakainya salmon steak punya ikan.

Lepas makan dan fikir,tu kalau nak buat sambal nasi kerabu. Duhh. Tapi sambal nasi kerabu pun x pakai mangga kot.



Nasi air ni banyak perkara kena buat,tapi yang mampu buat ni je lah. Cukuplah utk diri sendiri yang nak makan nasi air ni..hehe

Kenapa kalau tak tau, x nak tanya?

Geram plak dengan sorg ni kan. Dah la x tau, x nak tanya, pastu kasi salah info. Sudahnya menyusahkan semua orang.

Sometimes, rasa macam ni jenis yang suka pandang rendah kat perempuan.

Whateva la bro. jangan menyusahkan orang sudah.

Macam selalu nampak, ur page 300 might be page 1 for other people, same goes to page 300 for other people might be page 9 for me.

Holiday

I need a holiday but don't have the guts to request for it.

Or I just can't afford to lose control of the things I work on.

Ada Apa

Daripada nak tengok Redha, jadi tengok AADC2 plak.  Rupanya Redha dh x banyak cinema tayang. So sad.

It was supposed to be a movie marathon day since I wanna watch Captain America too.  Tapi apakan daya, tengah tengok movie, mcm2 Whatsapp and calls masuk.  So sempat tengok AADC2 je la, cos lepas tu kena balik hantar work related thingy.

Back to the movie..for me, kinda ok, the cinematography is very nice.  The actors and actresses bonding also best. Also, some witty dialogue.

Somehow, some elements of the movie mcm close to my heart plak.

Fujifilm camera, taking random pictures, books,travel, COFFEE!

What else..art galleries, eventho sometimes I’m like Milly too, cannot understand the arts being exhibited., tapi pergi tengok jugak.  O yeah, Petronas Art Galleries and galleries yg banyak2 kat Yangon ni dh jadi tmpt lepak plak.

So yeah, eventho the producer rely much on the previous AADC and the fan base, it’s an OK movie.  Cos I was looking for movie yg relaxing and x payah fikir banyak. So, got it. Heh.

Oh did I mention, they're like Hazel Grace and Augustus?

I can bake, I can take photo, I can do gardening- but all these skills are amateur level.

Dugaan di hari Isnin

Hari ni betul-betul menguji kesabaran.

Pagi-pagi takde pakcik drebar datang ambil.

Telefon pondok pemandu.

Talian tak dapat ditembusi.

Takpe takpe.

Tapi kena pergi pejabat secepat mungkin, banyak nak buat ni.

Talian hayat, telefon je mana-mana nombor pemandu yang ada.

Cun, dapat telefon. Pakcik pemandu akan datang.

Sampai pejabat-buka komputer-buat kerja.

Phiuuuw.

Ya Allah, letrik xde. UPS lak macam tak berfungsi je

Bukak balik komputer. Ulang semula kerja sebab tadi tak sempat tekan butang disket.

Baru beberapa minit, kejadian xde letrik berulang 3 4 5 6 kali.

Dah nak pukul 12 ni. Target kena siap 2 model.

Buka balik komputer dan komputer hidup mati berulang kali. Dah berpeluh peluh badan (40degree btw), dan berjaya tau masalah berpunca dari UPS.

Fuhh, orang lapar cepat marah kan. Jadi balik rumah makan nasi dulu, kasi sejuk sikit hati.

Balik pejabat, terserempak dengan orang yang nampak terkejut gue ada dekat pejabat. [isi tempat kosong]

Buka komputer-sambung kerja dalam berpeluh-peluh sambil peringat diri sendiri pakcik pemandu cakap dia nak balik pukul 4.

Sebab dah berhempas pulas dan berpeluh-peluh buat kerja hari ni, haruslah tepuk belakang sendiri dan beri hadiah.

Jadi, kopi dan kek jawapan nya.



Semoga malam ni tak bermimpi model lagi. Dan esok akan lebih jaya.

Ahah,yeah i want to, BUT...

That's always the case.



Anyhow, it was a great day today.
My boss&wife invited us,the remaining few in Yangon to come over for brunch.

As usual,Malaysian Hospitality at its best. And what matter most is Nasi Lemak !



Alhamdulillah. Rezeki di hari yang panas.
Hari ni 14 of us, but tomorrow onwards will be less than 5 ;)

Tremor on Thingyan

I just experienced a short tremor just now.



I only realized it was a tremor after being informed thru whatsapp.

Tengah tengok movie and pelik, apsal sofa ni bergegar and barang atas meja nampak swaying. Googled but no earthquake alert.

Continue watching movie till someone alert us in the Whatsapp group. Quite high tremor kott.

Ok, trus fikir n set mindset that in case of anything, i need to go down flights of stair and need to charge handphone to the max.

A day before Thingyan

Traffic is super smooth !

It's public holiday here and most of the people actually return to Msia.

Only the lucky ones-including me, have to standby in Yangon.

No worries as I've mentally prepared myself for this.

Shops will be close. Restaurants too. Public attractions too. Office too. But, I chose to standby at office.

Like I told my boss..as long as there's Internet,electricity,water; I can stay in the office. At least to do my work.

Water festival here has yet to become tourist attraction, at least if we compare to neighbouring Thailand. Tourists actually flock the country just to participate in the festival.

So why not huh. People actually pay to come over and enjoy the water festival. While we are readily here, just enjoy it !

Public Holiday-Well Spent

Happy holiday!

Btw, it’s a full moon holiday today in Myanmar.  As my friends in Malaysia implied, “asyik cuti full moon je korang ni”.

Yeah, we are blessed with lotsa public holiday here in Myanmar :D

That’s the best part of working here. Hehe

The only not so good thing is, most of the shops and attractions will be closed during the public holiday.  Kinda weird knowing in Malaysia, public holidays are the time where people will flock all malls and tourist attractions (read : getting things done).

I discovered about this the hard way though. When I ‘m yet to get a house here, the thought of having a public holiday enticed me to plan a head of what I’m going to do during the hols. Cos, I dislike the fact that I have to just stay in the hotel room.  So, that day, after eating breakfast that can last till lunch, I decided to walk to Bogyoke market.

The shortcut way is to cross a bridge behind Bogyoke and voila! –arrive at Bogyoke.  Somehow that day, there’s wired fence at the bridge entrance.  The smart me thought I’m early to Bogyoke, and the bridge is yet to open.  So, I turned back and walk to another road that’s parallel to Bogyoke market, and head to Bogyoke market.  Somehow when I arrived there, all the entrance to Bogyoke was close.  After asking some locals there, turn out to be Bogyoke and all of the other attractions are closed during public holidays.  There you go-walk back to the hotel room and just kill the time.

Today-a public holiday in middle of the week.  

Of course, going back to Malaysia or planning for a short vacay is not in the picture.  Plus, drilling and logging operations are on-going, and we need to standby for those.  Important things always happen during holiday, middle of the nite, when you are asleep, or when you don’t have internet connection, kan.  Not complaining, but sometimes I just like to vent things out. Haha.

So, my car-mates already started to make plans yesterday on how should we spend our holiday.  Sound gigih,but when you stay in place like this, planning ahead is a must.  Morning will be eating Mohinga at Foodfare followed by picking up clothes at tailor and sight-seeing to any place that open. OK! Dont have to cook for lunch. Ngee

Hence, we had our bowl of Mohinga. Since the tailor asked us to come at 11am, we had 1 hour time to kill.  The driver suggested to go to Yuzana Plaza, which none of us has been there, due to traffic on normal days.  And we go. First impression, not bad, looks like they have everything in this plaza. The plaza looks like plaza version of Chatuchak, and we realized that most of the items look familiar-Bangkok stuffs. Mental note-should go Bangkok again. Padehal 3 weeks ago was in Bangkok. Hehh.

After circling around, which lasted only for 30mins I guess, my friend decided that we should call the driver. 

Boring lettew.  Haha.

Ok la, we had our sightseeing moment.  But to buy stuffs, I think it will be better to get it elsewhere (depending on what you want to buy).  I shall blogged about my tailor-experience here later.  Btw, the guy tailor successfully sew the skirt just like the sample given. Yeah, to few more new clothes!

Somebody is trying to be smart

The other day, i rant about the well issue.

Since every problem must have a solution, findings and lesson learnt, I expect the same for this.

And it should be quick, as we need to incorporate those for the next wells.

However, I fail to realize that what I think urgent might not be treated urgent as other people.

When I thought that we should learn something from this, the other fella doesn’t have concern at all. We are dealing with million dollars operation, and your sense of ownership just nil?

So I test the water, and know the issues that we faced were not being communicated and conveyed to that fella supervisor.  

Reading the funny response from the supervisor just showed that somebody is trying to be smart here. 

Not good not good.

Sometimes, we can be good to people, but for this, i think we have to be very firm.

Semoga diberi pencerahan dan dipermudahkan urusan gue.

Single Working Ladies Dilemma

Bila Madam cakap “Kau bukan masak pun”.

Nak sentap pun x guna.

Eventhough diri sendiri memang tau hari-hari penat balik kerja, lapar. So memang akan masak jugak.

Busuk-busuk pun reheat balik lauk yang dah masak siap2 masa weekend.

Kalau xde lauk, biasanya pagi tu dah thaw siap2 bahan mentah kt chiller, so bila balik tinggal masak je.  Sedap ke x sedap ke, asalkan edible and tekak sendiri boleh terima, Alhamdulillah.

Well, ini antara dugaan pada working ladies. Or single working ladies. Memang akan ada yang being judgemental like that, whereas being single and working pun, we still have to get things done for ourselves and on our own.  Memang x perlu skill memasak 'kenduri style', tapi kalau diri sendiri x masak, bukannya ada Domino delivery kt sini -_-

What a day today.

The well got issue and the best thing is the diagnostic tool to understand the well condition is onboard, but MAN why it’s so hard to convince the people to just run the tool, while it’s still there.

I always keep myself cool, till just now, I just have to raise my voice.

SE-TE-RESS weyh when we have differences and can’t reach the agreement.

I’ve learnt the hard way before.  You don’t solve the problem now, you will not solve the problem later.  Other person has to clean the mess for you.  And I have become that other person before.

Not complaining but don’t just work for KPI, deliver it.  Deliver it nicely, just like what you want it to be.
