Tok Bapak passed away this am.
I just talked to Mama that I wish to visit him this weekend.
Death just doesn't wait for us.


It was a dejavu moment for me.
Last 12 Feb , we had doa selamat cum birthday celebration for Tok Bapak.
Today, the same ustaz that recited the doa selamat was the same ustaz that recite the doa after solat jenazah, and at the gravesite.

Food hunt in Malaysia

What will be the first Malaysian food that u want to introduce to tourist?

-nasi lemak

-nasi kerabu

-mee goreng mamak

 

Those are recommended by my colleagues. Unfortunately, my new friend doesn't eat spicy food. It was a challenge for me since most of our Malaysian food is spicy.

Hurm, actually I just wonder. She doesn't eat spicy food, but she can withstand very HOT tea.

Isn't it the same? Spicy n HOT? Hehe

 

Ok, so the first meal I introduced her is, Chicken Rice. And YEAH, she finished it. Cool

Next day,introduced her to rice and chicken. Chicken again? NVM

Next, noodles. This is the first time she eat noodles. So, it's quite an achievement when she finished one bowl of noodles.

Next, pizza. And this is the most enjoyable meal she had. Her staple food kan. LOL

 

Once, my colleague brings our new friend to eat sushi. And when they came back, my colleague complaint that our new friend only eat a lil' bit. He's quite disappointed considering they ate expensive sushi. Heh

 

So, he failed :P

 

This week, I'm safe cos one of her countrymate is coming, so she'll go lunch together with the newbie. Thus, saving me from cracking my head on where to eat everyday, since I'm a tapau person :D

Minggu lepas, ade sorang awek Negara asing (negara terpaksa dirahsiakan, kang kate country-ist) datang attachment kt projek ktorg. Sampai 6 mac ni.

Dia cakap English dia so-so, sebab bahasa pertama dia rusia. Ok fine. Xkesah janji paham.

Bos kecik assign gue untuk bawak awek ni jalan2 klcc, tunjuk tempat lunch tak pedas, kedai top up dan sebagainya.

Kedai pertama yang awek ni tanya ialah kedai nose.

Tapi dia sebut nuuuuse. So gue konpius. Kedai ape.

Since dia awek, gue bawak dia jalan2 parkson n isetan. Bila lalu tempat kasut, awek ni sebut nuse lagi.

Lame2 baru la dapat tangkap. Dia cari kedai nose, kt tingkat 3 nuh.

So, jalan la kami ke tingkat 3. Tapi, aikkk

Kedai nose dah xde kt tingkat 3. Yadda. Name je keje klcc, tp x alert langsung kt mane ilang kedai nose.

Since kedai nose dah ilang, so tanye la awek ni nk pegi mane.

Susah la jadi travel guide yang harus menerapkan ciri2 keperempuanan ni. Lagi2 bila kena fikir kt mana nk cari pearl, lipstick murah, jam murah, tartar yellow liquid, dsb.

 

 

Kat mane nk cari tartar yellow liquid?. Ceh, rupernye itu ialah Listerine.

Kakak ni angkut 4 botol besar + 1 botol kecik Listerine. Hihi. Umah gue pun non ado Listerine ni.

Dan paling syiook bila tunjuk barisan2 lips gloss yang macam2 perisa kat dia.

"Wow, this is very cheap. 3 dollars each? I should buy for my mom and friends"

Bagus kan. Shopping kan untuk kawan2.

 

Anyhow, gue dh jumpe kt mana ilangnye kedai nose tu. Rupernye kedai nose dh turun kt concourse level. Duh. Hari2 lalu depan kedai tu, tp tutup la sebab datang keje awal pagi.

Bihun Goreng Kuah Satay

I have leftover of satay gravy in the fridge, and this is the end result :

• ½ packet of bihun
• ½ Holland onion-chopped2
• 4 chicken nuggets- fry and cubed 'em
• 1 chilli-slice
• 2 large scoop of satay gravy
• 1 egg
• Soya sauce
• 2 tbsp Oil

Heat the oil. Saute the onion. Add in the egg. Followed by satay gravy & soya sauce and nugget. Stir well. Lastly, add in bihun and chilli. Siap!

Yeah, i seldom put salt in my food.  Habit.

Lady H : It's my obligation + my religion require the ladies to cover up their hair. And I'm not married yet. Why?

Lady G : Owhh. I thought u are married already, since u wear scarf.

Lady G : In my country, ladies need to wear scarf once they are married. But, u can choose not to. That's why I wonder whether u are married or not. Considering there's no ring on your finger.

Hikmah dalam musibah

Since last year, I had been bugged with several offers to go for vacation in Egypt. But, to enjoy vacation in Egypt, at least RM6k is needed for that.

2010 end. Come 2011 and my parents insist on going to Egypt early this year. Told them that I cant join since there's planned offshore job end of Jan early Feb. (Somehow, this job had been defer to March)

Next, my sis got herself offer for PLKN. At first, my parents asked me to find way for my sis to defer her PLKN, so that she can join the Egypt trip. Somehow, they discovered that it is better for her to go for first batch of PLKN.

Lastly, Egypt plan in end Jan early Feb was called off.

And, as all of us are aware, currently there's ongoing riot at Egypt. Mixed comments and reactions had been posted. At first the government said that it's OK in Egypt. Then, the condition is getting worse.

Read at medicmesir.com and somebody posted that it's not true that Egypt university session will be defer for 1 year. But most of the media mentioned vice versa.

Back to initial story. To me this is what I can call as 'hikmah dalam musibah'. Cos to me, I will have more time to save enough money if I were to travel to Egypt and people will not keep pestering me to go Egypt (so soon).

For others, this 'reminder' can serve as reminder to us too. One day the country is peace, the next day it is no more. Plus, if we think our salary is too little, compare it with the Egyptian and Tunisian. No wonder lots of them migrate to other countries.

Let's pray for the safety of our ummah and that the truth will be prevail.

p/s: how is Chahine doing in Tunisia? :p

p/s: curios on how millions of people can unite and have urge at the same time to do demonstration like that. Reminder from Allah, perhaps

Somebody questioned me on why I didn't request for assessment on few topics since this can help me further on my promotion.

To me, I still believe that I need to have solid understanding and real application of one particular knowledge, so that I'll be more comfortable in being assessed. Tak kan la nak tipu diri sendiri kot, kan?

Plus, everybody will later expect u to know everything once u r a senior. Though the learning curve will never have an end, and some time u can't deny the fact that some juniors are better than u J

 

After this, I can give statement panas like this, "I have been assessed by the toughest in Ptech, be it Maharon or Willem, so u can't deny/disagree with my result". Haha, statement bakar. Saje.

Yeah, historically I've been assessed by both Custodians (the highest rank in our discipline), plus 2 other 'tough n laser' Staff. Susah, tension, sakit kepala, bengang. But in the end, this will help me to bench mark myself J
