ACDC

Wow. This is the fastest ever I receive my ACD result.

Phew. The result is a lil bit funny. For me la. But, overall Alhamdulillah J

Kelakar sebab orang lain sibuk nak close Base yang ade 13 tu, gue cm dh terclose Key plak.

yang susah-susah plak tu. Huih, rezeki betul.

Somebody questioned me on why I didn't request for assessment on few topics since this can help me further on my promotion.

To me, I still believe that I need to have solid understanding and real application of one particular knowledge, so that I'll be more comfortable in being assessed. Tak kan la nak tipu diri sendiri kot, kan?

Plus, everybody will later expect u to know everything once u r a senior. Though the learning curve will never have an end, and some time u can't deny the fact that some juniors are better than u J

After this, I can give statement panas like this, "I have been assessed by the toughest in Ptech, be it Maharon or Willem, so u can't deny/disagree with my result". Haha, statement bakar. Saje.

Yeah, historically I've been assessed by both Custodians (the highest rank in our discipline), plus 2 other 'tough n laser' Staff. Susah, tension, sakit kepala, bengang. But in the end, this will help me to bench mark myself J

Hotel Review : Eastern & Oriental, Penang

I had an opportunity to stay for ~a week at this hotel, last Nov 2010. E&O is situated in the mid of town, in front of Garage-the famous night club in town.
During my arrival, friendly staffs greeted me and assist for the registration. While waiting, I was served with welcoming drink. If I can remember correctly, it was freshly squeezed juice. Nice!

Upon receiving the room key, the bellboy will assist you to your respective room and will brief you details of the room. VIP treatment, I guess?

I was lucky to have a room facing the Penang sea. To me, the room was very very huge. Considering that I had the room all to myself.
Imagine, I had to run across the hall, passing a walk-in wardrobe and toilet, just to open the door for my visitors.

tilt ur head to view :|

What I like most is the bed and pillow. Yeah, what else should I look for after one tiring day of technical course right? The mattress was so fluffy J

The toilet was also very huge and I like the toilet's interior. Black and white marble tiles, a bath tub, his and her sink as well as shower.

Hmm, not to forget abundance of toiletries provided. But, to me, the liquid soap bottle cover was sumthing I struggle with. It's hard to open.

Apart from that, you will be provided with fruits (either 2 oranges or 2 apples) daily besides the normal tea sachets collection.

Owh yeah, this hotel has broadband internet! Something that everyone need most nowadays J
Though the food spread at the Sarkies Corner (the café) can be considered as variety, I find it quite boring since the menu was the same daily. Imagine yourself eating the same food daily, for ur breakfast, lunch and dinner. Surely, if u missed eating something the other day, u don't have to worry since u surely can have the meal the next day. May be the hotel can improve on the food menu. Alternate menu please J

The swimming pool is the small version one, but not for kids. Square shape. Most of the European visitors I noticed, love to have sun-bathing by the pool side instead.

Overall, this hotel is quite good and nice to stay. For photog enthusiast, you will find this hotel scenery something that u don't want to miss capturing it. Newlyweds will definitely love to have their wedding photos being photographed here. So, people out there, if you want to experience luxuriness, European atmosphere or just to reward yourself for a comfy holiday experience, do visit E&O Penang and experience it J
Enjoice !

Don't u feel helpless when you don't have BF to help u in case ur car broke down?
Don't u feel jealous looking at the couples out there?

The ex(es)

Had so much fun at Farid&Tiara's wedding last night till the point that I think I had major headache.  Only Allah knows how does it feels.  Thanks to the beauty sleep that help to 'heal' the pain.

Wedding was OK.  Food was good. Plenty of time to catch up with friends.  Latest updates. Latest addition.

Only, I think, the MC 'served us with too much poems', while our tummies were drum rolling for the food :(

Lessons learnt, points taken.  Next time we should have menepung tawar while the guests enjoy their meal.

Anyway, congrats to the newlyweds, and please...

OKU

Majalah 3 tonight did a very good job in broadcasting about OKU and their dobi business.

Quoted from one of the OKU, "Ada orang tu datang kedai dobi ni dan terkejut tengok saya kat kaunter. Dia siap tanya saya boleh cuci baju dia ke?. Saya cakap boleh, mesin saya semua baru, boleh cuci baju dia sampai bersih. Lepas tu, orang tu cakap, xpe la, bagi balik baju saya, nanti baju saya kotor"

Gosh. I cant understand this kind of person perception. What kind of mentality is this?

Please understand these OKU. They are among the 'unfortunates' that should be given chances/responsibilities/trusts.

I know this since I have a brother who had low vision syndrome. He's normal but due to his features, people think he's abnormal.

Once, I overheard a man told his child:

Man : See that boy. He watches TV a lot, that's why he need to wear thick glasses.
His child then keep staring at my brother.

I, being a very protective sister then loudly talk to my brother. "If only this uncle know that u suffer from low vision problem and not by watching TV a lot, like his son".

Yes, I'm the angry sister. I dislike people making assumptions.

Please, I beg to people out there. If u think these kinds of people are strange, u are stranger than them!

Restart

Aim high,
u get low
aim low
u'll get zero
favourite quote from Papa's teacher.

A nice way to start year 2011.
Next week gonna be my 3rd assesment, which means I'm already 3years+ in the company.
Which means, I need to close most of my gaps already!
What else should the bosses expect from the 'seniors' right?

But, do I start 2011 with a bang?
NO.

I'm still the same laid back gurl, not pushy enough to do my job.
Haih. I should be one since that's the way how people play the game here.

C'mon. time to improve!

Kick-start

I think I'm gaining weight!
Thanx to my daily dosage of nasi lemak mesra + Nescafe to kick start my day everyday.
I decide to change my meal plan everyday, starting with reducing the sugar intake.
Let's take it one step at a time..
Thus for tomorrow breakfast, the meal will be:
Campbell instant soup (since I notice the expired date will be Jan 2011.tsk) + Ahmad Lemon&Lime tea (no sugar)
So, let's monitor the progress till end of this week, and see how.

Lights off @ I-City, Klang

Having been to i-city early this year makes me want to bring my family there.

Much to my disappointment, there's entrance fee cum parking fee being imposed to the visitors. Yes, you need to pay RM10 prior to the (toll-gate?) ladies and you will be given a ticket (that you can throw off later). Earlier, visitors do not have to pay for any entrance fee or what not. Sigh.

Since visitors need to pay prior entering i-city, I expect that more attractions will be there, compared to early this year. Plus, The star mentioned that there are ice sled and winter exhibition there.

However, we got stuck in the traffic for 30 mins before we decide to park just by the roadside. Mind you, it is not worth it to continue queuing for the 'proper parking' when the cars in front of you are moving at snail speed.

First stop was at the Peacocks. Sad enough, not all the peacocks are nice to look at. Yeah, they don't have their colourful lights on anymore.

Second stop was the Pine trees. Same thing. Half of the trees don't have their lights on. To make thing worse, wiring done underground seem to pop out already. I witnessed a boy tripped on the exposed wire. Hazard!

Third stop was at the animal models. I was quite pissed off with the guard who keep whistling his whistle. Kecoh betul. The thing is, he tried to chase people from standing near the animal models whereas there's no signage that mention visitors cannot stand there. What la..

Next, we moved on to the shop lots. Last time, there were two 'shops' that has winter-like theme. However, this time, I was shocked to find out that the snowman, reindeer everything are move to the new 'Winter Place'.. I coined this name :p The two shops now become shops selling fancy head gears. I thought the RM 10 we paid earlier covers the entrance fee for the 'Winter Place'. But…nehi. You need to pay RM35 for adult and RM25 for children.

What a waste right?

In short, I considered myself wasting my money and time going to i-city since:

  • There's no proper traffic controller to control the jam and to ensure proper parking as well as smooth traffic
  • No proper maintenance done to the lights
  • Cleanliness is not maintained (the surrounding and the toilet)
  • Too expensive (for me), since for me going to i-city is just like you staring at your lampu hari raya at home. And, if I'm not mistaken, last time there was consideration to promote i-city to Arab people. With this kind of situation, I don't think the Arabs will be eager to visit i-city.

To the relevant parties, please improve! Why need to pay for entrance fee when I don't see the relevance of paying the entrance fee..
