Why we always hate our job?

That question was asked by Yus yesterday.

and, to our amazement, the three of us in the car yesterday, shared the same view..

Overworked and too much stress had made us somehow hate our job.

But, as Ziera mentioned, "we need to work cos we need that paycheck to support our life".

and now I know, I'm not the only one that sometime just 'hate' my job.  Others felt the same too..

I hate my job when:
  • I cant solve the problems
  • People expect me to solve immediately every single problem tht happen
  • I dont know how to solve the problems

it's just like, a doctor who doesnt know what his patient's disease is, and how to cure the patient..

if only our job is as easy as assembling this puzzle..

Chocolate-chip Oat Biscuits

Ingredients
  • 115g/1 cu plain flour
  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1.5ml/1/4 tsp salt
  • 1.5ml/1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 115g/1/2 cup butter or margarine, at room temperature
  • 115g/generous 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 90g/generous 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 75g/1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 175g/1 cup plain chocolate chips

Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F /Gas 4. Grease three or four baking sheets. Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. With an electric mixer, cream the butter or margarine and the sugars together. Add the egg and vanilla, and beat until light and fluffy. Add the flour mixture and beat on low speed until thoroughly blended. Stir in the rolled oats and plain chocolate chips, mixing well with a wooden spoon. The dough should be crumbly.
  3. Drop heaped teaspoonfuls on to the baking sheets, about 2.5cm/1in apart. Bake until just firm around the edges but still soft in the centers, about 15 minutes. With a palette knife, transfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool.

Multitasking

Is it good or not?

For me, it's good since I can save a lot of time by just doing it.

Eg: washing cloth + eating + reading + watching TV

The not so gooood thing about this:

I tend to lost my focus, and end up doing another task more than the other tasks.

Eg: Reading while completely forgot to hang the laundry..

Like right now, I'm supposed to finish sewing my pants, instead…

..

..

I'm reading others' blogs while watching TV. Sigh. And the laundry is waiting to be hanged. Double sigh.

Pressure cooker pun x pressure macam ni..

What will u feel if u r in the situation below? :
  • It was Sunday evening and u received a call from your colleague asking bout your presentation pack.
  • You already prepared the pack, only that u need to do some touch up and beef up the presentation pack.
  • And ur colleague mentioned, "nevermind,if u don't do the slides, let me do it and u just present it at the office tomorrow"
Note: the presentation was scheduled on the following week, but not on any particular day.

Monday:
  • U arrived early in the morning at office and u were in the midst of having ur normal cup of coffee.
  • Then , d same colleague keep pestering u bout the slides.
  • U became fed up, and u send the half-cooked slides to that fuller.
  • That fuller commented on ur slides, saying that the slides are boring and there's no animation.
C'mon. half-cooked as it is.
That fuller asked ur trainee to create animation for u, which at the same time u already half-way with that animation.

Continue:
  • Ur boss was not free throughout the day. So there's no point of u rushing to present the half-cook slides.
  • Half-cook meant that the facts presented are not up to CTEs expectation. And the facts are sloppy since u don't have time to cross-check the facts.
….

Owh, I don't know, but I just pissed off with this kind of creature.

So, what say u?

Cheers~

Ms. Lucky

I'm just so lucky compared to others here. Being the only woman here, I get the privilege of having a room of my own, a toilet of my own J
I was quite skeptical at first; thus, when I packed my things at 4am on the day I was suppose to travel, I just packed everything that I can grab off.
The result…1trolley bag + 1 backpack. I packed extra since the last time I came here I remember the washing machine and dryer r down.
Guess what, the people here dry their shirt at the compressor. Creative :D
The good thing of not travelling light was…… the dryer and the machine are still downJ
And they don't have enough soap also. Kesian kesian.
I always have this guilty feeling since as an extra person here, I'm utilizing their things, so they guys need to always give-in whenever I come here.
I'm lucky indeed. Bukan Lelaki, but lucky :D
